I decided to take these two puppies out for a test drive....or a taste drive if you like. The Haiti BM lived up to the description,full and dark .....excellent tasting. The Dominican, once again lived up to the description...excellent taste and a great breakfast coffee. I drink a pot on the weekends while I read the paper online and putter around and have to say these are now two of my favorites! I also love the PPNG, Grand Bend and Costa Rican Decaf. No wonder FRC has a great reputation - with such high quality coffee and service. Just thought I would add my thanks.

Hay Dave, any other hidden gems that I may have overlooked? I am curious about the Indian Monsoon coffee - just because it sounds so neat(the process)

Hi Frank,
I am glad you are enjoying the Dom and Haitian! They are both excellent examples of how each varietal can have its own style and those two are definitely not run of the mill.
I have a bit of the dark bug in me and I have been really enjoying the Bolivian Fair trade organic. While it is incredible on its own a dry cocao and rich sweetness, it blends incredibly. I am thinking seriously on basing my next several dark blends off of it, it is a delicious change up from sumatra.
A couple of mediums that I have been enjoying of late are Tanzanian Peaberry (read up on this unusual bean if you are not familar with the peaberry bean) which offers a smooth rich creamy body with a bright solid acidity and the El Salvador Fair Trade Organic this one has an incredible soaring flavour that is very balanced and takes your palette on a tour, it is not an upfront what you see is what you get coffee.
I really could go on and on but better than that lets pass this off to the boys in the roasting room for their current favorites Pat, Jay, Doug what are your digging these days?

Speaking of blends ....DAAAVE....I would love to see you list some of them..pretty please with a cherry on top :o)
I have tried the Tanzanian....not bad...but like you, I think I'm gaining a greater appreciation for the dark roasts.

Hi I just ordered some Mexican Chiapas, When I went to Disneyland in 2007 I brought home some of there coffee and I was hooked.I was looking for any coffee that tasted like it and couldn't find any. Then a friend brought over some coffee that he had just roasted, and I couldn't believe it. It was the same coffee. Since then I have started roasting my own beans, trying to find the coffee again. I asked him yesterday what kind of beans they were and he told me Mexican chiapas. So I ordered some.It's so great after 2 years to finally find the beans I wont. I'm so glad you sell it...
