Dave and Patrick,
thanks for the roasting lesson. I must say that I was fascinated by the popcorn popper roasts that you showed us. I went to my in-laws place this morning and found their old popper and brought it back to my place. I amazed the wife and kids by roasting a batch of Colombian coffee. I am enjoying a cup of this very coffee as I type. What fun!

Also, we brewed a pot of the Haitian coffee that you guys were raving about and I must say that is is indeed very good.

Thanks again guys!

Jude

ps - I hope to be at the tasting class in a few weeks!

Thanks for the write up Jude. Dave and I had a lot of fun with you two. Since Wed. already had some people ask about the next class. Next week we will be posting the dates and topics for the Sept. class and tasting. Have fun with the popper and remember that the kids might still want popcorn from it occasionally.

This is great - I was just coming in here to find out when the next roasting class was, and if you guys are offering one in September, I might be able to tie it into my next trip to your area. That'd be most excellent. Looking forward to finding out when it is!

If you have always wanted to roast heres your chance..Wed Sept 3 6-8pm

All you ever wanted to know about home roasting...(and more)

Catch the passion and freshness of roasting your own coffee. It truly is a lost art as this was done in most homes until the early 1900's. The development commercial coffee blends changed this by convincing the consumer that it really was alot of trouble and perhaps maybe you should get your coffee in a nice can. Wait until you taste the difference...

We will be roasting coffee in several different ways, on a popcorn popper, on a Fresh Roast coffee roaster, and on an I-roast coffee roaster. These are the most popular roasters on the market, but we will also discuss easy and inexpensive ways to roast at home without equipment.

Another great thing about roasting your own beans is that you can keep a library in the cupboard of various green beans and you can decide what you feel like drinking and how dark to roast it. Green beans are stable up to and sometimes more than a year! They are usually about half the price of roasted coffee. Can you say affordable luxury!

Book online or give us a call at the Roastery 519-652-5225
