I see you sell green beans. Is roasting something easy to do for the do-it-yourself types? Or is it an art that takes a while to master? I'm committed to Fair Trade coffee and looking for ways to make it as affordable for myself as possible, so I'm wondering if I should try doing my own roasting.
By the way, your spam prevention thing is hard to use -- like, am I looking at a b or an h

Hi There Dave. I can not recommend roasting your own coffee enough! I got my start that way. The hot air popcorn poppers are fun to experiment with and an inexpensive entry point. Check out some instructions from the Coffee Geek site here:http://www.coffeegeek.com/guides/popperroasting. I sell a popper and a pound for $30.
Another way to go is the automatic roasters available on the market today. I sell Fresh Roast roasters for $99. These are set it and forget types that cool and time the roast for you.
The neat thing about roasting your own beans is that you can keep a library in the cupboard of various green beans and you can decide what you feel like drinking and how dark to roast it. Green beans are stable up to and sometimes more than a year! Usually about half the price of roasted coffee
All my beans are available green so pick up a pound and try it out!
