Hi Everyone, just had to share with you how excited I am that I have a new 2.5kg small batch roaster . This is a manual traditional style drum. As always I roast with a eye and nose for detail to your specifications! Can't wait to fire it up this week!

Well Hi everyone and another note on the new roaster front. I now have a 10kg Ambex roaster. This machine will allow me to do larger batches of the most popular coffees that you love. It is a natural gas fired drum style roaster that is manufactured in Florida. Interesting story on it. It was first purchased by the Steaming Bean Coffee Co. in Telluride, Colorado, serving them faithfully for approx 5yrs. I then purchased it and it made its way by trailer to a much warmer locale the beautiful London Ont, Forest City...by the way I love the metal trees! Cheers for now Everyone....

Well these seem to be very regular posts now, seems I have developed an addiction to buying roasters. Just kidding, it is really just the love you guys are giving our coffee makes us have to produce more, and more, and more. The new beauty is named Christine (our Ambex is Sally) and she is a 30lb Pri-20 Primo roaster made in California. A very Italian design when we fired her up for a test run, I can't tell you how powerful and smooth she sounded. That was until we could hear a clicking from the fan motor which eventually turned into arcing which turned into us flipping the power off. We now are looking at a rebuild of the fan motor which I have no problem with as I always like to show my roasters lots of love. The story on this one is it came from a company called Roaster Direct in Minneapolis Minnesota. We have a saying around her that this is the place roasters come to retire in luxury(kinda like Florida). Well, Ciao for now. We will give you an update when we put Christine through her first roast.
